Dismantling
If you haven't heard, the Kings traded Webber late last night. I was a little stunned at first. Webber is a pretty big name in Sac. But then I realized that's all he is. Those that know me, know that I've never been a huge Chris Webber fan. A trade to bring some big names to Sac would be awesome. But have you seen the crap that he was traded for?! Scoreless (Corliss) Williamson (the name speaks for itself), Kenny Thomas (who is an average player on his best night), and Brian Skinner. Who the foop is Brian Skinner?! This guy was pretty much the last guy on the Sixers' bench. It would have been nice to see another big name come into Sac... not these shmoes. It was a horrible trade.
Statistically, the Kings haven't done too bad without Webber in the past, when he's been down due to injury. But they've had the players to back it up. But, at the beginning of the year, Peja was demanding to be traded. His contract ends after this year, and he becomes a free agent, there's no way he's going to stay in Sac. So that would leave Bibby and Miller and possibly Jackson. I don't expect the Kings to make it too far in the playoffs this year, and if they make the playoffs at all next year, it will be the 7th or 8th seed. The Kings are far off from being a championship contender any time soon.

I head a few things that have explained a little about the trade. Maybe i can explain them here but im nto the best explainer (is that a word?) in writing...
They picked up the schmucks because it will be easier to drop them one by one to free up some cap room in the next year or two. Thats on theory.
The other is that peja hates Webber. We all know that. and they want to keep peja so the let webber go. To be honest, i dont think peja has that kind of power on the team!
I have also heard predictions that the kings will be better now.. we'll see.
I know my descriptions were brief but u can expand in ur mind on those. I dont follow basketball, nor do i care who gets traded.. but IMO, it was a shit trade.
Dropping Webber alone freed up cap room. He has $62 mil left on 3 years. He's not worth that... not even close. He's on what, his 14th year or so? And I gurantee, out of those 3 years, he'll never see a full season, due to injury. So, trading him was good, just not for the shmucks they picked up. And if cap room is the main reason they got rid of Webber, then I HIGHLY doubt Peja will stay, because they're going to have to drop a lot of money to keep Peja in Sac.
I think the Kings will do about the same, probably a little better without him, for the rest of this year... if their starting 5 stay healthy. But I don't see Peja staying. And it's likely that the Kings will deal Jackson somewhere. But next year, they're going to have a weaker starting 5 and their bench isn't going to be as deep. They'll be about a .500 ball club. IMO.
yeah, ill take ur opinion.. cuz i dont follow basketball and u do. haha. GO KINGS...
