Forced Update

Alright SWISS... so you'll stop naggin' me... jeez... like a damn GF! ha.. j/k bro!

Lets see... don't have random words to post, although I did like that! Uhh... played my first game for my company's basketball team today. I was on leave, so I missed the first 5 games and the record was 3-2. Well, after just 2 minutes of play in the first half, I got bumped to starting Point Guard. Don't usually play the point, but I'm one of the smallest guys out there, and the pretty much the only white guy. It's kinda bootsy...we play 10 min. halves... not much time. I sat the first 8 minutes of the game because nobody's seen me play, and they had their usual starting 5. Came off the bench with 2 left in the first, down by 7. We cut their lead to 5 at half. Second half started and they told me I was the new PG, so I went with it. We controlled the the first 6 minutes of the half, grabbing a 7 point lead. After calling a time out, the other team came out on fire! A weak 2-3 defense and a selfish offense led to a dissapointing 4 point loss.

Final Stats: 0/0 shooting, 6 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 TO, in 12 minutes of play.

Sadly enough... I though my one turn over of the game was the clincher for the other team. we were only down by 3 with about 245 left, and I threw a pass across the key! I know better than that! Oh well... it was my first "organized" game in god knows when, so I'm not trippin'... but you all know I hate to lose. There's a tournament on the 3rd of July, I think... I'm not sure when it is... It's my day off before i work though, so don't know if I'll play.

so, on July 6, I'm on stand by for a rather large protest... approx. 2500 protesters. And on July 10, the whole post is on lock down, due to a huge, protest... 10,000 or more protesters. This one is expected to be hostile, and they're supposedly going to try and gain access to our installation. So... finally something exciting. 10,000 people is an ASS LOAD of people. I don't even think that we have 10,000 soldiers at this installation. But the Korean National Police is bringing out something like 72 platoons... I'm not sure how many KNP that is... but it's A LOT. It's the "combat" KNP too... so this could be a show to watch... and i get the perfect view right out of my barracks window!

alright, i'm out... refer to swiss' blog for your daily random fact. out!

ahh yes... i miss the good ol' days. I don't get a frequent update on my stats as I play anymore.

Missed the bball tournie, by the way... I was too busy sleeping! I slept for about 2 days out of my 3 days off. My room mate now believes I'm the laziest person he's ever met. But you all know that already.
